This is such a magical place. I wish we’d discovered it earlier! Our family (two adults and two teenage sons) just returned from a 5-night stay in the Meadow House. The house hits just the right balance between rustic and convenience, with a clean, well-supplied kitchen and comfortable bedrooms and seating areas. The wrap-around porch is to-die-for and overlooks the most stunning, serene meadow. We would sit outside in the morning with our coffee and just enjoy the peacefulness and perhaps spy a baby deer bounding through the grass. The owners (Suzanne and Lanita) are very friendly and helpful with recommendations for sightseeing and Ashland. They clearly love the farm and want to share it with people. We did a day trip to Crater Lake and then stopped by the Rogue River Gorge/Natural Bridge at Suzanne’s suggestion. The farm tour was very interesting and allowed my kids to help collect chicken eggs and feed the baby goats. My kids also loved spending time with the farm’s working dogs. We hiked around the property and got to see the “glamping” tents and, although camping is not my thing, I would almost consider these! They were very private and the communal kitchen is basically a commercial grade set-up with everything you could possibly need.

Ashland is about 25 minutes down the hill and we saw several Shakespeare shows. We were so happy to come back to the farm though where it was consistently 10-15 degrees cooler than town. We loved it so much that we’ve already booked next summer’s trip!
