Willow-Witt is surrounded by the expanded Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument, world-renowned for its ecological biodiversity. The Monument is at the crossroads of the Cascade, Klamath, and Siskiyou mountain ranges. The convergence of these three geologically distinct mountain ranges results in an area with remarkable biological diversity and a tremendously varied landscape. Nearby Grizzly Peak Hiking Trail, a favorite close-in Monument trail, includes a 4.8-mile loop through old-growth forest, remnants of an ancient volcano, and a recovering wildfire burn, leading to panoramic viewpoints; this well-maintained trail also has shorter loops to the vistas.
The Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument also includes Soda Mountain Wilderness and 30 miles of the Pacific Crest Trail.
