Self-Guided Farm Tours

Welcome to Willow-Witt Ranch — a world away.

hiking loop trail to turtle pond from farm

Our farm, forests and wetlands are open from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily for self-touring; we provide a laminated guide to the farm and animals, plus a map of our marked hiking trails.

Our ranch is off grid, powered by photovoltaic (solar) panels and a micro-hydro system. For a fee, we offer personalized, question-and-answer discussions of our off-grid systems and land regeneration.

This working farm uses Maremma livestock guardian dogs. No dogs or pets are allowed.

This land was inhabited since time immemorial by Upland Takelma, Latgawa, Shasta, and Athabaskan peoples, who were forced off the land and out of the area by European American settlers in the 1850s. You will learn of past logging practices, livestock impacts, wildlife, and water tables.  A walk through our regenerating wetlands and balanced forest will show you possibilities for the future. With our small demonstration farm, we endeavor to create an alternative path for agriculture.
